Some time when you look back at opportunities that you missed, you just want to find a good wall and run in to it some hard
this cigar was offered to me at great prices, but as usaul "let me try one, and later I will by a box", now these days it is hard to find and the prices gone up,
for me it is better than Magnum 48, that was realized in 2009
the draw was delicate, to much of draw, the cigar will be hot and not joy-able
The taste started with coconut then woody with tobacco, and end up with sweetness
Beautiful aroma
Medium body cigar
fair amount of smoke, and nice burn
good for short time

H . Upmann Propios Edicion Limitada 2018

To start, I didn’t hate it. Would I buy a box, the answer is no. I found this pretty consistent from start to finish. The final third was pretty damn good. Those flavours really came alive. Sweet notes, that creaminess and coffee all kicked into gear. I’d say those flavours were around in the first two thirds, but the finale made sure you knew it was there.

Tbh, that finale saved this cigar for me personally. The best analogy I can give is going to a party and for the first couple hours it’s dull and lacklustre then suddenly the DJ yells “1 hour until last call” and then the real party begins. The crowd started to get loose and sang out loud to me from that very same crowd that was dull before. These are the flavours in this stick. At the very end, when it’s finished I’m asking myself why couldn’t the whole party be like that?

Notes: coffee, woody, dark rich chocolate, maybe even some nuts hidden in there. Consistent throughout.

Aroma: didn’t like the aroma, in fact hated it. It was enough for my partner to say “that cigar you’re smoking tonight smells really different”. Barnyard, farmhouse (haha) and just like, dare I say, a non Cuban tobacco smell

Burn: only had one issue, however it was kind of big. You can probably see it in the ashe above where I corrected it. After that, burn was good.

Grade: before the finale 5.5/10. The finish concluded this cigar at 7/10 for me. Decent.
For those that have smoked this, what are your thoughts?

529. H. Upmann Propios Edicion Limitada 2018

2020-07-16/ ANDREDIAS95

Store bought at Sweets n Cigars.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Information:
Wrapper: Cuba
Binder: Cuba
Filler: Cuba

Size: 4.7×44, Corona Extra

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily but slightly rough with slightly protruding veins.

Construction: Fairly firm with a even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Cedarwood.

1st third: Starts with a cedarwood, citrus, tea and green pepper.

2nd third: No changes.

Burn: Burns a bit wonky with a firm and stable whiteish ash.

Smoke: Medium voluminous smoke with a medium heat feel on the tongue and a medium light draw.

3rd third: Gets a spice kick like black pepper, otherwise it keeps the same.

Duration: 21:55-23:10, 1h 15 min.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 86 point cigar.
