This is an absolutely exceptional cigar regardless of budget.
The older issues are certainly much better in color, taste and overall appeal. Nonetheless, the more recent one are as exceptional as they ever were.
My cigar of choice.
Reminds me of the great Winston Churchill the father of cigars, wisdom courage and who most certainly influenced my life and taste in cigar!
The epitome of how fashion changes tastes. This type of cigar was ubiquitous and of course our supreme leader smoked them by the dozen - or was that also just good marketing from Cuba? I have never actually ever seen or heard of anyone smoke a Churchill R and J (wide ones yes but not the ‘original’). Why is this? I actually think R and J Churchill one of the prettiest cigars ever made,.People note the floral notes, the perfume, the lovely smell of the smoke. They should and they should also enjoy the size and length which is delightful and sits between all the great cigars in my view as a perfect compromise. It may be time to get out those orange flares again and re attend to this once popular smoke!
