346. Ramon Allones 8-9-8 Edicion Regional Alemania 2014

2019-06-23/ ANDREDIAS95

From my own collection.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.

Information:
Ramón Allones is a current pre-revolution brand, established between 1837 and 1845.
The range comprises full strength cigars, using tobacco from the premium Vuelta Abajo region in Cuba.
Numbered 8-9-8 Box of 25 cigars (2,000 made).

Size: 6.7×43, Longsdale (Dalias).

Wrapper: Almond shade wrapper, oily and silky-smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Light woody note.

1st third: Starts with a milk chocolate, light wood touch and a nutty finish.

2nd third: No changes.

Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and stable whiteish ash.

Smoke: Light smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue with a tight draw.

3rd third: Keeps it’s previous flavours until the end.

Duration: 19:00-20:30, 1h 30min.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a mild to medium strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
