282. Punch Edicion Regional Alemania Sir John 2012

2019-04-20/ ANDREDIAS95

From my own collection.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.

Information: Punch is a current pre-revolution brand, established circa 1840.
Tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region in Cuba. 2000 boxes with 25 cigars in each.

Size: 5×48, Corona Extra (Hermosos No.4).

Wrapper: Light milk chocolate, smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Light cedarwood notes and hints of spices.

1st third: Starts of with a light toasted bread, nougat and milk chocolate creamy sweetness.

2nd third: Keeps it’s previous flavours with a added hint of lemon peal in the background.

Burn: Slight tilted but still fairly sharp burn, firm and stable white ash.

Smoke: Light voluminous smoke, with a cool feeling on the tongue and a medium draw.

3rd third: Keeps it’s flavours even though it gets warmer towards the end.

Duration: 14:55-15:55, 1h.

Conclusion: A mild to medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
