The Bolivar Regentes is the third of the 2021 Edición Limitada cigars released by Habanos S.A., joining the Cohiba 55 Aniversario Edición Limitada, which was released in 2022, and the Hoyo de Monterrey Monterreyes No. 4, which was released last year in 2023.

Launched in London by Hunters & Frankau in February 2024, the Bolívar Regentes is a tribute to Simón Bolívar, a figure emblematic of liberation and strength. This cigar, like its namesake, is distinguished by its robust and full-bodied flavor profile, making it one of the most commanding offerings in the Habanos S.A. portfolio.

Crafted 'Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga' - entirely by hand with long filler - the Bolívar Regentes features leaves selected from the Vuelta Abajo zone, the most prestigious tobacco-growing area in Pinar del Río, Cuba. These leaves have been aged for a minimum of two years, ensuring a smoking experience that's as rich in history as it is in flavor.

The Bolivar Regentes measures 5 1/8 inches by 52 ring gauge and is presented in a unique slide lid boxes of 25 cigars. It marks the fourth occasion that the Bolívar brand has been honored with the production of an Edición Limitada for Habanos, with the previous release the 2018 Bolivar Soberano.

What distinguishes the Limited Edition releases are the exclusive use of aged wrapper leaves from the upper section of the plant, which, once aged, feature a darker appearance than the standard wrapper leaves that grace other standard production Habanos cigars. These special leaves, produced in only small quantities, give a touch of sweetness to the limited edition cigars.

In addition to the specially aged wrapper, the binder and filler used in Limited Editions receive a minimum of two additional years of aging vs standard production cigars. The result is a fuller-bodied, more complex blend that has made the Limited Edition releases highly sought-after by collectors and connoisseurs of Habanos cigars.
