I’ve smoked Reyes twice (both OCT 21) with totally different experiences.
First one (last June) was rather harsh/leathery and spicy with substantial strength.
My second one (this August) this time extremely mellow and soft on the palette, no strength or spice whatsoever. This remained without any significant shifts/developments throughout. Voluminous output of silky smooth smoke and a straight burn line.
Rather interesting shift in the experience with only one additional year of resting in the humidor.
Another day and another cigar - this time back in my home cigar lounge 👍 smoking a #trinidad🇹🇹 Reyes. A perfect little vitola coming in 40 ring gauge by 4 and 3/8 inches. This is the last of 10 of these cigars I purchased some 7 years ago. This little gem was lovely and creamy from the very first puff which developed some nice nutty tastes throughout. The draw and burn were perfect which is certainly what you expect from a Trinidad. The aroma was probably the most surprising part as it remained lovely and fragrant through every draw. I think it’s time I buy another cabinet. Yes they are on the more expensive side of the “20 minute” option portfolio however they really are worth it!
My favorite is the coloniales, but have never come across a bad Trinidad. Excellently rolled, beautiful taste. and a perfect short smoke to have with coffee.
to be fair for this cigar I give it 3 start rating, however I tried it and did not like it
I was itching first time trying the Trinidad Brand and Wow even for a Mar 22 box it was really smooth and tasty. I could see this as a every day go to gar. Beautiful draw notes of coffee, cocoa, creamy bread blend. Smoked while playing prob took 25-30min I took my time so it can go quicker. Even burn never had to touch up. Only downside they are getting pricey!
This is my favorite regular production cigar. A singularly approachable 30 min smoke remarkably similar to the rarified Fundadores at a fraction of the cost and time commitment. The baseline is a consistent cream and blonde-roux note with bursts of visitors: graham cracker, brown sugar, Chanel 5 too long on the skin, burning fall leaves.
This is an excellent frequent smoke. I just bought another box of 24.

Great little cigar ,definitely has a kick to it and has remained a while on the palate, for a 20 minute smoke on this little trinadad can't go wrong!!
