309. San Cristóbal de la Habana El Morro Aged 2007

2019-05-17/ ANDREDIAS95

From my own collection.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.

Information:
San Cristóbal is a current post-Revolution brand, launched in late 1999.
The range comprises light to medium-strength cigars, using tobacco from the premium Vuelta Abajo region in Cuba.
Varnished Boîte Nature Box of 25 cigars.

Size: 7.1×49, Double Corona (Pacos).

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and silky-smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Light hint of cedarwood.

1st third: Starts with a smooth note of toasted bread, milk chocolate and a suave note of cedarwood in the background.

2nd third: Evoles to a cacao instead of milk chocolate, otherwise the same flavours.

Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and stable white ash.

Smoke: Light smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a medium thought draw.

3rd third: Keeps it’s previous flavours.

Duration: 13:55-15:05, 1h 10min.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.

I agree with your review. It took me slightly more to complete, about 1 hour and 25 minutes. I will try to share the story in pictures.
