My Biography
Following the footsteps of his father, who opened and owned one of the first premium cigar shop/lounge in Indonesia, Matthew R. Poniman is a second generation cigar enthusiast.
Having smelled the aromas of cigars and witnessing his fathers religious practice of smoking at least 3 to 5 cigars a day since the early 90s, the passion was inevitably passed on.
Cigars, like the finer things in life (that are actually worth having), needs not to be exclusive, expensive or rare to be enjoyed. The true enjoyment of cigars is and should always be the celebration of good company, hardwork, health and craft.
Smoke cigars, but more importantly, be a blessing to everyone around you.
What was the first cigar you ever smoked?
The first cigar smoked on his own dime was the Montecristo Open Master. Athough, the first cigar he ever smoked was a Cohiba Siglo II, which he knicked off his fathers humidor when he was 18. If he didn't know then, he knows now.
