My Biography

Cigar loving British artist living in Dubai.

What was the first cigar you ever smoked?

A Bolivar petit corona coupled with a Chivas 18, I was 19 years old so only slightly older than the scotch.

Which is your desert-island cigar?

Crates of Trinidad Fondadores. (I’ll use the boxes for a raft.)

What is the worst cigar you’ve ever smoked?

There isn’t a singular bad cigar that stands out but generally speaking it is about bad cigar experiences; when a ciagr fails through being poorly rolled or when an enjoyable smoking session is interrupted.

What is your greatest cigar-related memory?

Smoking a vintage Espléndidos on a beach at night watching New Year’s fireworks.

What is your favourite cigar brand?

Very hard to say but Trinidad is probably the one.

What is your favourite cigar accessory?

A backgammon board and DuPont stand cutter.

What is your favourite cigar shop?

That’s my secret, I can’t let the other cigar shops know I have favourites! ;)

What is your favourite lounge?

As a Dubai resident you can happily smoke almost anywhere but my preferred choice is The Churchill Club, Four Seasons Hotel, Dubai.

What is your favourite method of ignition?

Soft flame where possible but I admit to a turbo jet the rest of the time.

What is your favourite cut?

I like the El corte del artista and a V-cut for torpedos.
