My Biography

I'm a novice Cigar enthusiast, starting my cigar journey around February 2022. I'm from the United Kingdom and have had the absolute pleasure of starting my journey into the world of cigars, from cuban to New World. My favorite cigar vitola right now is the Half-Corona, and rather contradictorily a Piramdes.

What was the first cigar you ever smoked?

The first Cigar I've ever smoked, and the cigar that kick-started my journey into cigars was a Montecristo Open Regata, a wonderful smoke and a Petit Piramdes format, famed on the renowned Montecristo no.2, I had the pleasure of enjoying this cigar with my partner in Stow-on-the-Wold, Cotswolds. With a delightful enjoyment time of around 30 minutes. But, I'm a slow smoker so it eventually lasted a fantastic 40 or so minutes.

Since then, this cigar has been my benchmark and kickstarted my desire to explore the Montecristo and Piramdes format. For me, it was a light flavour, which is always preferred for a novice compared to a Bolivar or Partagas.

Which is your desert-island cigar?

If I had to choose a cigar if I was stuck on a desert island? It would 100% be a few packs of Davidoff Grand Cru no.5s
To this day, this has been the best cigar I've ever had the joy of smoking, a tres-petit corona format and works incredibly well on a sunny afternoon in the garden or at an event with colleagues and friends. The light, but lemony flavour I got when I first smoked it, I enjoyed it so much I smoked it to the very last inch, until I could hardly hold it between my fingers.

What is your favourite cigar brand?

My favourite cigar brand that I'll always love and have in my humidor is H.Upmann, after smoking the Upmann Regalia and Half Corona, it's been a steady staple in my humidor that I'll always want to have one around, because the light, spicy and somewhat lemony flavours I get from Upmann's always leave it a light and delightful smoke in sunny weather.

What is your favourite cigar shop?

Davidoff of London. Nothing can compare to the service and the kindness that Davidoff of London has shown me, through my countless visits it's become my favorite place in the UK to purchase and collect cigars. Being seen to by Max Foulkes and Eddie Sahakian, the kindness and investment they made into getting me the perfect cigar is the benchmark for visiting cigar shops.
