I think Vegueros is Habanos, S.A.'s gift to the rest of us--and we are legion--those of us who can't spend thousands on a box of cigars, or several hundred dollars for a box of everyday smokes. Unlike Cuba's two other "value" brands, Vegueros uses long filler tobacco from Pinar del Rio. I've had several Tapados (as well as Mananitas and Entretiempos), and I can't recall an example that wasn't beautifully constructed with a tightly-packed flat foot, beautiful draw and excellent burn. Admittedly not as complex as many of the more popular brands, The excellent tobacco and spice flavours are very consistent. It is a hidden gem of sorts; I haven't had one that I've disliked. Probably the best value for the money, especially after last May's price hikes.
