Generally creamy tobacco, with smooth and pleasant flavours, easy to smoke, offered us an entertaining time, we enjoyed it, now it is up to you to decide and let me know.
This robusto is a winner. The wrapper has a pleasant texture and light scent. The cold draw was perfect. The #2 burned evenly and well through a 60 minute session. I detected a medium strength with cedar, earth, a creamy taste, faint chocolate, spice and nuttiness. It went very well with my morning coffee. I enjoyed it so much I smoked mine down to the nub. I left the meet-up session feeling very satisfied and relaxed.
I'm very fond of Bolivar Royal Coronas and RyJ Churchill Shorts. The Juan López Selección No. 2 is a Cuban robusto which I will now include in this category.
The Juan Lopez Number Two is what can only be described as an All Day Cigar (ADC). It tastes as I imagine Juan Carlos would have demanded a cigar taste like. Not too heavy, easy to draw and filled with aromas - but not so stressful that you think you have to set aside two hours or a special occasion. It is a working cigar which when used properly allows me to focus on the task at hand whilst in the company of an old friend - the JL2 is that friend.
