The Juan López Hat-Trick 2022 Edición Regional Qatar was launched as a tribute to the FIFA World Cup 2022, with a nod to the football term "hat-trick" (three goals scored by one player in a match). This release was officially unveiled on December 18, 2022, during the World Cup final and was also made available at the Doha airport's duty-free shop on the same day.

The cigar features a "Duke" vitola, measuring 5.5 inches (140mm) with a 54 ring gauge, classified as a grand robusto. It comes in boxes of 10, with only 10,000 numbered boxes produced, adding a level of exclusivity. The wrapper, binder, and filler are all Cuban, consistent with the high standards of Cuban craftsmanship.

Historically, this regional edition is significant because it was developed specifically for Qatar, a unique market for Cuban cigars. The release coincided with the country's moment in the global spotlight due to the World Cup, making it a collector's item as well as a symbol of this cultural event
