My Biography

Hi all, I’m fairly new to the world of cigars and am looking for recommendations to organically grow my knowledge and experience with them.

I have always had a huge passion for cigars but sadly have only gotten into smoking them recently.

I’m currently on the lookout for Partagas Aristocrats, if someone knows where I can get a couple of boxes from, I would greatly appreciate it.

What was the first cigar you ever smoked?

My first cigar was a MonteCristo Open Eagle.

Which is your desert-island cigar?

Out of the limited cigars I have smoked, I would have to say a Romeo Y Julieta Wide Churchill or a Cohiba Silo IV.

What is the worst cigar you’ve ever smoked?

For me, it would be the Portages No.4, I wasn't a fan of the flavour and it wasn't a nice experience... maybe my palate hasn't developed enough for this icon.

What is your greatest cigar-related memory?

Growing up watching my father indulge in purchasing a Montecristo cigar whenever he could afford to... usually a handful of times a year

What is your favourite cigar brand?

I would have to say Romeo Y Julieta, just because they are great for fairly new smokers.

What is your favourite cigar accessory?

My St Dupont Le Grand which was gifted by an incredible friend.

What is your favourite cigar shop?

Astons of Manchester, they are a great bunch of guys willing to help anyone select their next stick.

What is your favourite lounge?

Dakota Hotel in Manchester... they have a dedicated cigar area with a great selection of cigars kept in perfect condition! Also, you never know who you'll run into.

What is your favourite method of ignition?

I prefer a yellow flame from a Le Grand Dupont.

What is your favourite cut?

A simple straight cut as I'm yet to try a V-cut or punch, however my smoking buddies don't highlight any benefits of the latter.
