2019-04-14/ ANDREDIAS95
From my own collection.
Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.
Information: Quintero is a current pre-revolution brand, introduced circa 1924. The brand’s full name is Quintero y Hno (Quintero and brother). The range comprises medium strength cigars, using short-filler tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo and Semi Vuelta regions in Cuba.
Size: 5.5×41, Corona.
Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and smooth but with some clear protruding veins.
Construction: Firm but still a little giving wjen lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Wet cardboard and cedarwood.
1st third: Starts with a taste of wet cardboard, light spices and cedarwood.
2nd third: Keeps the same flavour wise and I’m not a fan of it.
Burn: Burns pretty sharp and a firm and stable white-ish ash.
Smoke: Light smoke, cool feeling on the tongue and a light draw.
3rd third: Keeps the same.
Duration: 22:10-23:05, 55 min.
Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Don’t buy this if you like cigars, not even if you are on a budget. Like there are so many better stuff you can get for a little bit more money.
Result: In my book this is an 82 point cigar.
