Christmas Cigar Lunch With Monica Irani

Cigar Keep Ambassador Monica Irani recently held a Christmas Cigar Lunch in Mayfair, where a delightful group of cigars were enjoyed by a lucky few.

Picture this: a cold Friday afternoon in the midst of December in London, a warm space with floor to ceiling and wall to wall baubles and Christmas decor galore, an intimate terrace, heaters on full, where guests are greeted with toasty hot toddies, champagne, and a humidor filled with a delightful selection of Cuban cigars ranging from Cuaba Salomones to Por Larranaga Sobresalientes. This was the scene set when Cigar Keep Ambassador Monica Irani hosted her Christmas Cigar Lunch in Mayfair last week.

Despite the frigid temperatures guests, enjoyed wearing their finest winter fashion to keep warm. Looking around the terrace one could have easily thought they were in the middle of Gstaad, but soon after the pre lunch cigars consisting of a H. Upmann 52 and a Trinidad Topes, everyone sat for a festive lunch which consisted of over 10 different dishes shared amongst the talkative bunch.

Attendees ranged from art collectors, wine suppliers, financiers, and some cheeky mothers looking for an afternoon escape before heading to school carols. After a sumptuous meal, a post lunch cigar was in order along with some cognac and pudding wine. Some guests pulled out their newly acquired Behike 52s whilst others preferred older vintages of Punch and Bolivar.
