An Ambassador Answers: Reza Adil

Cigar Keep's global community requires legendary figures from all over the world to join us in spreading the news and championing the cause of togetherness. This time we speak to our latest ambassador, Reza Adil from Alizarde Cigars.

What kickstarted your passion for cigars?

As a teenager I attended school on Saturdays up until about 1pm at which point my father would pick me up in his Mercedes perfumed with leather seats, along with cigar smoke blowing out of the window. And THAT’s how my weekends started. So in some little way, I relive this perfume every time I light a cigar and often think of my father who passed away 22 years ago.

What is your favourite cigar?

Partagas Culebras, great smoke, can be divided three ways and always a ‘smile’ moment when I unbox one.

Do you have a favourite lounge or terrace to smoke in?

I used to spend 5 nights a week at the Churchill Hyatt Regency lounge but its changed from the good ole days… I now choose my to spend most of my time at my lounge at home. The Havana Cigar Exchange looks very promising by the way, that may be my in-town go-to.

What is your most memorable cigar moment?

The one in my head in which I smoke a cigar with my father for the first time.

What cigar do you think is underrated?

I have Camacho Connecticuts coming out of my ears (what a sight), I almost never see anyone else smoking them, I frankly don’t get it. It’s a creamy, anytime, solid return cigar. 🦂
